Every legal citation in our product leads to an official register — ISAP, SAOS, EUR-Lex — through a link you can open. Whatever the system did not find, it marks as unconfirmed. It never fills the gap.

LEGAION is built by Aidvocates, Inc. — an engineering team that concluded that AI in law only makes sense when every statement can be checked at the source.
A problem you could see in the courtroom
LEGAION was not a plan. I started with Aidvocates and fairly quickly saw that the market wanted something other than what we were offering. Not another tool that writes faster. A tool that leaves proof that someone checked.
In June 2026 a public database counted 1598 court cases in which counsel relied on a ruling generated by a model and existing in no register. In the first quarter of the same year, courts in the United States imposed 145 000 dollars in penalties on that basis. In March the French National Bar Council adopted guidelines under which a lawyer using AI content without verification is subject to disciplinary liability. In Poland the first such ruling was issued by the Supreme Administrative Court — I FZ 104/26.
The conclusion from those cases is not “AI makes mistakes”. It is: no trace remains of who checked what, and against what. That is the problem we solve.
Three principles we do not break
We do not boast about certificates we do not hold.
We do not hold an ISO/IEC 27001 certificate or a SOC 2 report. An audit is planned and we will write about it once it is completed. Until then we talk about the architecture and about where the data sits — because that can be checked today.
Responsibility stays with the human.
Our system works under supervision only. The result is material for a decision, never the decision. The signature belongs to the person who puts it there.

The product is shaped in conversation with practitioners who run cases every day and built by an engineering team. That is why verification is not a feature added at the end here, but the way the system is built.
